Hannah Berkowitz, Sound Team
I'm Hannah Berkowitz and I'm a media production major set to graduate in 2022. I love art more than anything in the world! I'm passionate about sound in film and writing for comedy. Learning is always a priority for me on a film set, and I know that working on DMHLBIT? will provide an encouraging environment that will help me grow as both a woman and sound, and as an artist in general. I admire Hanna's artistic abilities IMMENSELY, and the opportunity to work on one of her projects excites me!
Ojasvani Dahiya, Assistant Editor
I'm Ojasvani! I am currently a senior focusing in post-production and motion graphics. I love experimenting with interesting non-conventional aspects of editing and cinematography. This project is super exciting for me, not only in the aspects of representation (which is fantastic) but because Hanna's vision and passion for this project is so incredible and immense which in turn makes anyone working on this equally as passionate to bring this story to life. Jin Ko, Sound Team
I’m a Junior VMA major who’s trying to do sound in the film industry. I’m excited to work on Hanna’s project because of her unique vision on social commentary and humor. She’s one of the most talented, versatile, and hardest working people I’ve met. My only challenge on this set is to match her work ethic.
Keely Ventress, Marketing Assitant
I’m Keely and i’m part of the class of 2023! I’m a comedic arts major (whoop whoop!!) and I love doing anything silly, fun and creative! I am always down to go on adventures, hangout in the sun, and most of all support my friends, which is why i’m excited to be a part of DMHLBIT? because I love love love Hanna!
Claire Levine, Artist in Residence
My name is Claire and I'm a junior comedic arts major! I write, act, and do visual art. My favorite animals are cows but I still eat burgers sometimes. I wanted to work on this project because I didn't have a place to expand my art medium and this was the perfect opportunity to learn and take some creative risks by trying something new :)
Yona Dervishi, Script Supervisor
Hey! My name is Yona Dervishi. I'm a senior creative writing major with a focus in fiction and a philosophy minor. I love storytelling in all formats and strongly believe that it can be used to help change societal narratives and perspectives for the better! I have no doubt in mind that Hanna will be at the forefront of change with her artistic visions and passion, and am deeply thrilled to be working with her as a friend and as a team member. Cheers to the team behind DMHLBIT!
Sophie Govert, Composer
Sophie Govert is an audio engineering student at SAE Expression College in Emeryville, CA. She loves string instruments and scented candles, and if it came out before 1995, she hasn't heard of it. She's also a fan of brave, hilarious, thoughtful characters and the important stories that contain them—which is why she's thrilled to be working alongside a talented crew to help bring this project to life! You can find her on Twitter @sophgov.
Maya Simon, Director of Fundraising
Maya Simon is a junior theatre major. Her many interests include alt musical theatre, chocolate baked goods, and giraffes, ultimately her passion is fundraising for art pieces she believes in. And boy does she believe in this one! Maya has been obsessed with DMHLBIT? since she read the first draft of the first five pages in a dorm room so many months ago. She truly believes that Hanna El-Mohandess is a visionary and she could not be more honored to get to help fund this film!
Michael Figueiredo, Wardrobe
Mike, 21, VMA, worked on EM Magazine in the style and makeup department for two years. If there’s a drag queen in an EIV production, hi, odds are it was me. I’m so excited to work on this project because I get to share my passion for early aughts fashion! If you think my style is bad, just wait until you see my credit score. ;) Instagram @fighsd
Brianne Neira, Marketing Assistant
Brianne Neira is a senior in Emerson College’s BFA Media Arts Production program. Brianne is in the process of writing, directing and editing her thesis short film, After (2020), which Hanna El-Mohandess produced. Brianne is incredibly excited to be working again with such a powerful and passionate storyteller, leader, and artist.
Maysoon Khan, Outreach
My name is Maysoon Khan, and I'm a junior journalism major and post-colonial and global studies minor. I'd say my favorite color is black, but that's kind of sad, so I guess it's green. I'm so excited to work on this project because I don't think I've stumbled upon much media that accurately portrays Muslim women, specifically hijabi Muslim women, in a dynamic and real light. It's a narrative you don't see much, and to change that, to be part of that change, is surreal.
